The Piombaia winery is located in the heart of the historic production area of Brunello di Montalcino. 12 hectares of vineyards surrounded by our woods, which constitute a natural thermoregulator for the vines and an example of their cultivation.

Since 2008, the application of biodynamic principles has profoundly transformed the way of conceiving and work our vineyards.

The Cantini family has been running the company for three generations and Francesco, with the help of his brothers and his father, is the last in order of time to deal with the production of wines.

Manual treatments and free animals in the vineyard save us from mechanical processing up to the manual harvest. Here the result of so much work takes the form of the journey towards wine: tanks without controlled temperature, spontaneous fermentation without the addition of yeasts and sulphites.
